RJF Audio Visual began ‘accidentally’ in 1986 when Russ was working at Wheal Jane mine and his workmates discovered that his many talents included the ability to repair and service television, video and hi-fi equipment. In 1989 Russ opened RJF Audio Visual. 16 years later, the business is still here and is going from strength to strength.

What started as a small repair business, selling specialist Hi-Fi and accessories has now blossomed into a thriving enterprise offering the UK’s most unique and diverse range of audio-visual related products and services - Specialist Hi-Fi & Home Cinema equipment, including Plasma, Projection & LCD screens, PA, DJ & Recording equipment, Theatre & Stage Lighting, Musical Instruments & Amplification, Headphones & Media, plus Cables & Accessories for all areas. On top of this we also offer full Repair & Servicing, CCTV & Security systems, Induction Loop Systems (AFILS), as well as Educational, Commercial & Custom Install & Design Services.

Position: Retail Manager

Description: Jess has spent 18 years as a sound engineer and producer at all levels of the industry; running his own local studio and working in commerical facilities. He has spent recent years teaching Sound Engineering and Music Technology, which enables him to innately understand the needs of our educational customers. Jess also heads up our Custom Installation activities and will be your first port of call should you wish to fit out your new home or refurbishment project for the latest in home entertainment. Jess is happy to deal with all enquiries and also handles all advertising and design work for the company.

Position: Managing Director
Skills: Oversees all Installation projects from start to finish, specialist repair work.
Description: Russ is the man who started RJF Audio Visual in 1989. He is still here, although his role(s) have changed somewhat over the years. He is now concentrating the majority of his efforts on managing the ever-growing commercial installation side of the company, leaving Jess to manage the companies retail and domestic installation activities. He does occasionally carry out some specialist repairs but is generally to be found beavering away at a computer in an office somewhere. Russ is not often found in the shop these days and those of you that are used to dealing with Russ will likely find yourselves in the capable hands of Jess, Barry, or Tony who will be more than happy to help you with your enquiry.

Position: MI Manager and Installation Engineer
Skills: Musical Instruments, PA, Lighting, Accessories, Install work
Description: Barry is happily working to make our musical instrument department the first stop for musicians in Cornwall. He can often be found touring pubs and clubs with his band Point Blank, but is in the shop Tuesday to Saturday unless he's out on an installation somewhere.

Description: Pam is the person that deals with all matters monetary - which makes her pretty damn important! She will also be found serving customers in the shop during busy times and will be happy to help with most enquiries.
